Mentor Tutor Connection is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping underserved students in Mountain View and Los Altos schools. We rely on the generous support of individuals and organizations in our community to help us meet our goals and continue to provide our tutoring and mentoring programs. There are a number of ways that you can support MTC:
Personal and Corporate Donations
Funding ensures our programs are sustainable. We have a small part-time staff including three mentor coordinators who match and support our mentor/mentee relationships. In addition, we have volunteer training, recruiting and screening expenses.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, any donation is 100% tax deductible.
We also accept donations of publicly traded stock held for at least one year. See your tax advisor for benefits of donating appreciated stock.
You can also make a tax-free gift through Planned Giving. See your estate attorney for information on ways to implement a Planned Giving gift. Our Tax ID# is 27-3054503. Donation Form.
Please visit our donation page for more information, or to conveniently donate online with your credit card.
Mentor and Tutor Volunteers
At the heart of the MTC program are the many volunteers that tutor and mentor with underserved youth in Mountain View and Los Altos. A small investment of your time can change the life of a student. Our tutors and mentors often report that they feel that they have gained as much or more than their student.
If you are interested in exploring the possibility of giving back to your local community by tutoring elementary or middle school students, or becoming a mentor to a high school student, please visit our volunteer page.
To all of the organizations and individuals who support MTC’s mentoring and tutoring programs, we say… Thank You! Your generosity through donations and volunteer time are making a big difference for our community youth.
