Los Altos Town Crier – Longtime Los Altos leader dies

Margaret (Marge) Bruno died on June 2, 2026 from injuries suffered in a fall.
Bruno was born to Peter and Josephine DiMaio Scelsa on September 1, 1933 in New York City. She attended mostly Catholic schools through 8th grade, followed by Newtown public high school. She subsequently graduated from Hunter College, where she participated in student government. She performed graduate work in economics at Cornell University until starting a family in 1958. When her sons were in high school, she completed an MBA at San Jose State University. She then worked for Bank of America as a commercial loan officer until co-founding Adobe Financial Group in 1980.
