When one of our elementary school tutors got an email from the teacher about the progress the students she tutors were making, she was excited – as are we – and so we’re sharing the note:
Hi!
I just wanted to let you know that when I retested Nicole and Samantha they both went up on their AR level test. This is a computerized test that measures their current reading level.Samantha’s scaled score went from 272 to 364 or a grade level equivalent from 2.4 to 3.1 (second grade fourth month to third grade 1st month). Nicole’s scaled score went from 403 to 472 or from a grade level equivalent of 3.5 to 4.2 – which puts her in the fourth grade level of reading!
