We’re grateful to be recipients of both the Los Altos Town Crier and the Mountain View Voice Holiday Funds. These Holiday Funds grant 100% of the money they raise to designated local nonprofit organizations that provide services to those that need extra support in our communities.
As a recipient of these Holiday Funds, Mentor Tutor Connection was profiled in both newspapers. In the November 12 Town Crier, the paper highlighted mentor Phil Rose and Los Altos High School student, Aldo Montes-Sanchez. The Voice also highlighted a mentor pair, Cindy Castillo and Alta Vista High School student, Jocelyn Trujillo in their December 1 edition. These stories provide just two examples of how mentoring builds relationships that enable students to have the confidence to achieve their goals.
We appreciate that both the Los Altos Town Crier and the Mountain View Voice recognize the value of the work our volunteers do with students in our community. Being a recipient of these Holiday Fund grants provides invaluable financial support for our mentoring and tutoring programs.
